Rachel Conklin, from Washingtonville, NY has been playing violin for 20 years. Although classically trained throughout, she has a love of other musical genres including fiddle and swing jazz. Music has been a part of Rachel’s life for nearly as long as she can remember and thoroughly enjoys performing and sharing that love with others. Since finishing her violin studies, Rachel has kept busy utilizing her pilot’s license by towing gliders at both Wurtsboro airport and Randall airport, teaching private lessons, and joining several regional orchestras for their concert season. She actively performs in the Hudson Valley as a section violinist in several regional orchestras, and performs in small chamber music gigs. Rachel has a Bachelors of Performance from SUNY Fredonia, a Masters of Performance from The University of Akron, and is finishing a second Masters of Arts in Arts Administration.
