About Our Hudson Valley Music School
New York School of Music, Serving the Hudson Valley since 2004, is a full-service music school with all the tools needed to learn, play and create music. With over 10,000 square feet, our state of the art facility provides an energetic, fun, and comfortable learning environment where students are encouraged to create, listen, improvise and develop their natural musical abilities.
We have 16 professional classrooms for private lessons, 6 studio rehearsal rooms outfitted with drum sets and PA's, and a stage area for rockin' recitals. We have one-on-one instruction with an accomplished group of musicians with years of experience playing instruments such as Guitar, Bass, Piano, Drums, Ukulele, Banjo, Violin, Viola, Cello, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Flute, Clarinet, French Horn and Voice.
Aside from the instruments and classrooms, there’s more! There is also Rock Camp USA which has been the impetus for much of the Hudson Valley’s young performing talent. We at the NYSM believe the best way to learn music is to play music. We take students from the lesson room to the stage, developing both their confidence and musicianship with programs designed for all skill levels.
Our bands have been booked all over the East Coast in venues including The Chance, The Civic Center, The Paramount, Great Adventure, Hard Rock, and Venues across NYC. They have opened up for National Acts including two of the hottest Beatle tribute bands around, Beatlemania & 1964. Six Stories Told, A Rock Camp Alumni Band have shared the stage with notable artists such as Nat and Alex Wolff, Jake Miller, Aaron Carter, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Summer Set, Plug in Stereo, The Downtown Fiction, Rocky Loves Emily, Set It Off, Move Out West, School Boy Humor, Streetlight Manifesto, The Venetia Fair, The Dangerous Summer, and Phone Calls From Home.
If the school wasn't cool enough, it's also adjoined by the newly added Barn Side Cafe.. So come on in and see why so many people make this their favorite place to learn and play music.
